Brazilian Couple Replant Entire Forest To Give Homes To 500 Endangered Species

In 1998, the couple created the Instituto Terra, an “environmental organization dedicated to sustainable development.” Over the next 20 years, the Salgado, with the help of associations, rebuilt the forest by planting more than 2 million trees and 300 different species of plants over an area of 700 hectares.

After years of hard and painstaking work, the region has begun to revive. This dry and inhospitable ground has turned into a sublime forest thanks to their initiative.
